War of the Gods (RP)

Virgil closed his eyes and gently drifted off to sleep.

Luna watched him drift to sleep, her hand reaching over to brush stray strands of hair from his face and continued to gently run her fingers through his hair. Her eyes strayed over his sleeping form, admiring the way his muscles were formed and hardened, his hands, callused from fighting and traveling, his long legs stretched out with his sword resting in his lap. She smiled gently and turned her gaze back to his face.

As Virgil slept, he suddenly turned into his devil form and fell back, his head landing on the ground. As smoke billowed from his mouth with each breath, he continued to sleep.

Luna screamed with surprise and stared at him for a bit, her eyes wide with horror. She slowly reached out to lay a hand on his cheek.
"Virgil?"

Virgil sat up, rubbing his eyes. "What is it?" After hearing his voice, he realized he had transformed. He quickly changed back.

Luna stared at him for a bit, her hand swiftly withdrawn from his face.

Virgil looked at Luna. "What?"

Luna looked down and muttered.
'Its nothing... I just wasnt expecting that..."

Virgil layed back down. "Don't freak out like that."

Luna looked down at him.
"How do you expect me to act when i'm surprised with you turning into a demon, especially when i've never seen that before!!"

"Oh yeah, I forgot that you know nothing about me, Dante, or our parents."

Luna shook her head and looked down
"You dont tell me anything."

"I dont talk much period. But I guess you need an explanation. Me and Dante are hybrids. Our father was a powerful demon from the deepest pits of hell and our mother was one of the most powerful demi-gods of her time. Me and Dante are spitting images of our father except our white hair. That is my connection to our mother. Dante is connected to her more because his power is much like her's while my mirrors my father. That demon form is the demon blood in my veins unleashing it's true power." Virgil explained.

Luna looked back up at him, her eyes sweeping over him.
"So how come you reverted to your demon form when you were asleep?"

"My body was fatigued and in that form my demon regenerative powers are at maximum efficiency. What would take hours of rest, i can do in minutes."

Luna laid next to him.
"Oh."
She reached out to run a hand through his hair.
"i always liked your white hair."

Virgil pushed her hand away. "I don't. I would rather look exactly like my father."

Luna looked down, keeping her eyes to the ground.
"oh.... sorry..." she muttered.

Virgil sat up and dropped all his weapons except Yamato. "Get up. you need to learn to use those." He pointed at Beowulf.

Luna looked down at the gauntlets, her vision blurring as a tear dropped onto them. She sat there deaf to his command.

Virgil thumped her on the top of her head with his sheath. "Don't make me say it again."

Luna looked up at him, her eyes filled with rage.
"What am I to you?" she demanded.

"I take it you know how to play chess. If this war were compared to a chess board, I would have to put you as a knight. A unique piece that most sacrifice but it used the way I do, it is the most valuable piece on the board."

Dante woke up and saw Virgil and Luna he got up and dusted himself off and walked over to Virgil

"So i'm just a pawn in your hand, to be used as you see fit?"
Luna's rage hit its peak and she was about ready to throw the gauntlets at his face and just storm off.
